CENTO
Cento, sometimes renamed "The little Bologna" due to the structure of the arcades and the historic center in Bolognese style and for its gastronomy that presents numerous typical dishes of the capital of Emilia-Romagna, is the birthplace of Giovanni Francesco Barbieri, called "Il Guercino" due to a congenital squint, a painter who lived between 1591 and 1666 and is considered one of the most illustrious Italian painters.
Of ancient origins, as evidenced by some frescoes by the seventeenth-century painter del Guercino, the carnival of Cento is twinned with the Carnival of Rio de Janeiro and during the event, majestic papier-mâché floats cross the historic center several times accompanied by music and groups of extras in masks engaged in choreography.
The city can be reached on foot in just 15 'on foot or in 10' by bus.
BOLOGNA
City of arcades, the learned, the turreted, the red, the greedy, Bologna is a city of a thousand faces and a thousand nicknames. It is a city with an intense cultural life and a very interesting historical heritage: it was in fact the European capital of culture in 2000, while in 2006 it was declared by UNESCO “creative city of music”.

An important medieval center and then one of the most sumptuous courts of the Renaissance, Ferrara is included, together with the Po Delta, in the Unesco World Heritage List. It is a silent city, on a human scale, where you can stroll peacefully, on foot or, as its inhabitants do, by bicycle, day and night, reliving the magical atmosphere of the past at every step.
Ferrara is easily reachable from Dimora del Voltone in 30 minutes by car.

For those who like it, it is also possible to use the bus (tper 550 which takes you from the Cento bus station to the Ferrara bus station in 60 minutes).
MODENA
Surrounded by the Secchia and Panaro rivers, city of balsamic vinegar, Modena is pleasant in every season: it knows how to be admired for its architectural treasures, a UNESCO heritage site, it knows how to welcome thanks to its cuisine and cultural life, it knows how to fascinate for that mix of innovation and tradition that characterizes it.
Modena can be easily reached in about 45 'by car.
For those who prefer public transport, it is possible to use the tper 551 bus which takes you from the Cento bus station to the Modena bus station in 60 minutes.
MANTOVA
Located in the Lower Po Valley, Mantua rises on the bank of the Mincio river, at the point where its waters form a deep bend, which embraces the city and creates the Upper Lake, the Middle Lake and the Lower Lake. Small city with approximately 50,000 inhabitants, the beauty and tranquility of its historic center make it as interesting as other cities with greater tourist influx. It is also home to the Literature Festival which takes place every year in mid-September and is very successful. Mantua can be easily reached from Pieve di Cento in about 1 hour and 30 minutes by car.
